About Beau
After completing her BA degree at UWE Beau has always worked within the creative field in some form, working as a model, a dancer, a photographer, and a hyperrealistic portrait artist. She has lived what seem like many different lives, and lead a very colourful existence from which she draws much of her inspiration. Beau's work and style has thusly changed a lot over the years, and she found that she needed another form of expression to translate her inner world and opted for abstract art. This became a form of communication that she rapidly fell in love with. Having an obsession with the nature of reality both from a scientific perspective and the more spiritual side, her pieces are created intuitively with no end vision in sight, becoming a collaboration between her intuition and the marks forming on the canvas. The idea behind them is to show the unending beauty in the seeming chaos of our universe and reality, within which there is still structure, geometry and an understanding of the balance between space and form. Beau's pieces, although free form structures, are still considered, purposeful and intentional. Working in various mixed media, she is focuses on the more intuitive aspects of abstraction, creating quietly imposing, emotionally provoking works that subtly beckon the viewer to look deeper.

Artist statement
I have always had something within me that i have needed to express, it can feel like such a compulsion because if i dont transmute it in some fashion i feel unbalanced internally. Over the years the subject matter has changed but i eventually realised that i am in a constant state of searching for answers that no one really has, answers regarding the nature of reality and the human experience. I am in awe of the ever changing, seemingly structured chaos that we all live in, both in the small scale and universal, our inner world and the worlds beyond those we can understand. Through my art i try to make the intangible tangible, to give form to emotions and the vibrations of life in an attempt to greater understand them myself and to hopefully connect others with unseen feelings that we all somehow recognise.
